I started dancing when I was eight years old at the Legion Dance Studio and soon became addicted to dance. I went through all the Freestyle, Ballroom and Latin American Medals with the IDTA and also travelled the country taking part in Competition Dancing. At the age of 15 I started teaching in return for training to become a qualified teacher and received top marks for all teacher qualifications. In 2009, Laura and I took over ownership of the Legion Dance Studio and we became KL Dance Steps. Since taking over the studio I have trained 7 Teachers through their teaching qualifications and 6 Student Teachers all who have received top marks. Every day I still learn from people I teach. I love to see people progress and most of all enjoy coming to our studio. We try to provide an enjoyable and great way of learning to dance for every age group. My personal favourite at the moment is Argentine Tango.

I started dancing at the Legion Dance Studio at 15 years old for pleasure and quickly progressed into teaching training with Cyril and Diana Bone. I took my first exam at 17 and went on to fully qualify in Ballroom. I am currently training for Associate Latin with my husband, Kevin, which has its trials! I enjoy the children's classes and finding ways to keep the their attention. I especially enjoy organising the events for adults, including tea dances, dinner dances and casual social evenings. Wedding dances are also a favourite of mine as I enjoy helping couples to feel comfortable on the dance floor. I'm also a hairdresser which has come in super handy with those ‘up’ do's needed for sparkly dance events! I love Latin dancing but I'm currently enjoying exploring the challenges of Ballroom dancing all over again after neglecting my dancing due to having a baby! Let's hope she follows in our footsteps - no pun intended!
